Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: 10 June 2026  ·  Effective Date: 10 June 2026

Please read these terms carefully before using our website or engaging our services. By using this website or contacting us to request legal services, you agree to these terms.

1. Definitions

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing this website or submitting an enquiry, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If you are acting on behalf of another person or an estate, you confirm that you have authority to do so.

These terms apply to use of this website and to the provision of our legal services. Where a separate engagement letter or service agreement is issued, those terms apply in addition to these and, in the event of conflict, take precedence.

3. Services

Sombat Legal provides inheritance legal services in Thailand, including inheritance position reviews, succession and document support, and contested estate representation. Our services are provided in accordance with Thai law and under the professional obligations of the Lawyers Council of Thailand.

Services are available to individuals and families with matters governed by Thai law. Where a matter involves foreign law or foreign courts, we will advise you of the limits of our scope and, where appropriate, suggest who else should be consulted.

Nothing on this website constitutes legal advice specific to your circumstances. Advice is only provided after you have engaged us formally and we have reviewed your situation.

4. User Responsibilities

When using our website or engaging our services, you agree to:

We reserve the right to decline or discontinue our services where a user has provided false information or where proceeding would be contrary to our professional obligations.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, design elements and documents — is the property of Sombat Legal unless otherwise stated. You may view and print content for personal, non-commercial use.

You may not reproduce, republish or distribute website content without our prior written consent. Referencing our website for informational purposes is permitted with appropriate attribution.

6. Fees and Payment

Our service fees are stated on this website and confirmed in writing before work begins. All fees are quoted in Thai Baht (฿). Payment terms are set out in the engagement letter issued at the commencement of each matter.

For fixed-fee services (such as the position review), the fee is payable before or at the time of the consultation. For services where the scope may vary, we confirm the fee structure in advance and provide updates if circumstances change.

Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis. Where work has already been carried out, a partial refund reflecting the work completed may be offered at our discretion.

7. Disclaimers

This website is provided for general information only. We make reasonable efforts to keep information current, but we do not represent that all content is accurate or complete at all times.

Legal outcomes depend on the specific facts of each matter and on decisions made by courts, authorities and other parties. We do not make representations about the outcome of any legal matter.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Thai law, our liability for any claim arising from the use of this website or from our services is limited to the fees paid for the specific service in relation to which the claim arises.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of income, loss of opportunity or damage caused by delays beyond our reasonable control (including delays by courts, public authorities or third parties).

9. Termination of Engagement

Either party may end a service engagement by giving written notice. Where we withdraw from a matter, we will do so in a way that minimises disruption and will advise you in good time.

Our confidentiality obligations and any outstanding payment obligations survive termination.

10. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any dispute arising from these terms or from our services shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Bangkok, Thailand.

We encourage clients to raise any concerns with us directly in the first instance. Many issues can be resolved through straightforward communication. If a formal dispute arises, we will engage with any appropriate mediation or professional complaint process in good faith.

Complaints regarding our professional conduct may also be directed to the Lawyers Council of Thailand.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Revised terms will be published on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our website after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
